Cleveland, OH
One of my all time favorite road trips was to Cleveland, OH back in 2012. I was a guest of Ronnie Wood and Faces at the Rock and Roll Hall Of Fame induction ceremony. I always enjoy networking events …. but this wasn’t really one of them. This was bucket list time for me.
I had a blast seeing the Faces guys again, even though Rod Stewart was ill and didn’t make it.
I also got to meet many of my favorite artist growing up. Carole King, Berry Gordy, Smokey Robinson… it was the first time I had been star struck in 20 years.
And got to catch up with some people I hadn’t see since I first got into the music business. Guns N Roses, Alice Cooper, The Red Hot Chili Peppers. It was a night for the ages.
It is rare to have a week with so many stars under one roof, in a town with only one 5 star hotel. The Ritz Carlton was indeed rocking all week long. From Kid Rock to Chris Rock, they were all there like a giant party from the 70’s.
